The Davidson Learning Center offers a Comprehensive Assessment consisting of diagnostic tests designed to identify your child’s strengths and weaknesses. Each Assessment is tailored to specifically address areas of concern. An Assessment establishes baselines in areas such as reading, reading fluency, reading comprehension, spelling, mathematics, written expression and auditory and visual processing, memory and language skills. Dr. Davidson, Licensed Educational Psychologist, then determines the skills your child needs to close their gaps and the processing disorders adversely interfering with their learning.
For example, Dyslexia- a reading disorder; Dysgraphia- a written expression disorder; Dyscalculia- a Mathematics disorder; a Specific Learning Disability, Auditory and Visual Processing Disorder, Memory or a Language Disorder. After the assessment, Dr. Davidson explains the results and discusses the next steps such as Individualized Evidence-Based Intervention, Classroom Accommodations or referrals to other Professions as appropriate.
